LO3: Final House Style Designs

Masthead
I decided to use this masthead because the font has connotations of a party, disco lights and nightclubs. The target audience of young males adult males will be interested in and able to relate to all of these things. Also, the yellow-and-black colour of the masthead connotes energy, electricity and action, which this target audience will like.

Front Cover Colour Scheme
The colour scheme for the front cover will consist mainly of black and yellow, like the masthead, with a hint of bright/mint green. This is because the laser beams in the main cover image have this green colour, so I decided to make some of the cover lines green also. The black and yellow colours have the connotations I have written about above for the masthead, while the green colour adds a fresh feel to the magazine.

 Contents Colour Scheme
The contents will mainly be a white page - only the main heading "Contents" and the sub-headings will have a purple background and yellow text. The purple colour I used has connotations of a chilled-out vibe in a nightclub which readers will be able to relate to, while the yellow is a continued theme throughout the magazine of high energy.

Double Page Spread Colour Scheme
For the introduction to my article on Josh Shirt, the double page spread will have a black background, a green heading and blue text to introduce the article. The green heading goes with the colour of the laser beams which will be in a photo I will use on the double page spread, while light blue is another colour that has connotations of electricity. However, it also has a more relaxed feel to it, hopefully encouraging the reader to read the article.

Title Page Colour Scheme
Finally, for a title page I will create on "Liam Boarder", Matthew Milan will stand against a red-brick wall with white graffiti on it. The introductory text will also be coloured white, so the colour scheme for this solitary page will be white and a red-brick colour. These colours, and the photo itself, connote a independence and give a "street" feel, which the reader will be able to relate to.
